I am interested in doing a theater rental – what do I do?

You first need to fill out a Pollack Tempe Cinemas Rental Request Form which can be downloaded from our website. Complete the form and fax it to our theater manager, Adam Schneck. He will contact you with the price and availability of date requested.

How far in advance can I reserve my theater rental?

Reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance and as soon as 2 weeks in advanced. Reservations are on a first come first served basis.

How you determine the price of the rental?

Theater rental prices are determined based on theater and/or film availability, the purpose for your event and season. All prices that are quoted are request specific. They will vary depending on auditorium requested, day and time of day as well as number of guests.

Do I need a deposit? How and when do I pay?

Pollack Tempe Cinemas requires business checks, money orders and cash as forms of payment. We require a 25% deposit to secure your theater rental and require balance due prior to the start of your event.

What movie can we see?

The film selection is limited to the movies currently playing at Pollack Tempe Cinemas, although older films may be requested and reserved for and additional fee depending on availability. Not all older films are still in print and can be researched on a case by case basis.

Can we see an older movie that is no longer in theatres?

Yes. For an additional fee, older movies may be requested and can be reserved based upon availability of the print. However, depending on studio restrictions, not all films are available for private showings after they have left theatres.

Can I set-up my rental for anytime I want?

Pollack Tempe Cinemas rental coordinators are willing to accommodate your request, and are usually able to schedule your rental time into our daily showtime schedule, and even before we open to the public.

What is the most inexpensive time to rent a theatre?

During a weekday (Monday-Friday) before we open to the general public. During this time we generally are not required to cancel any showtimes and are therefore able to offer a lower rate than during operational hours.

What if I need to cancel my rental?

We require you to give Pollack Tempe Cinemas management at least a 3 day written notice of cancellation before the date of your scheduled event. If you do not cancel according to these guidelines the full rental fee is still due. Any non-payments will disqualify your group from any future auditorium rentals.

What is included in the price of my rental?

A private viewing of one of the current films playing at Pollack Tempe Cinemas and use of the auditorium.

Are there any other details I should know about renting an auditorium?

Older movies can be reserved for an additional fee, based upon availability of the print Microphones can be requested for your rental for an additional fee

Concessions are NOT included in the price of your rental; however your group can purchase them from the concession counter at the time of your event or pre-order Group Combo Packages.

If you are planning a presentation during your rental, equipment is available upon request. Request must be made one week prior to event for technician scheduling purposes.

**NOTE**
Not all films are available for auditorium rental viewing. Some films may have restrictions placed upon them according to their studios and/or distributor's guidelines.
